Golf

Linlithgow Golf Course is next door, visitors are most welcome and can pay half price on the golf course through the week through ourselves. There is a public bar and restaurant at the golf club which you are welcome to use.

Boat Trip

We have bought a small boat to take people out on the river Forth, please email to get booked in.

Fishing

There are two fishing lochs nearby one of  which, Bowden Springs Fishery, offers a discount to our residents.

Leisure Centre

Linlithgow Leisure Centre is one mile away with a gym, swimming pool and soft play.

Linlithgow is an historic town with plenty for visitors to do and see. The town has its own website where you can gather more information.  The website has a What's On guide, recommended Heritage Trails, facilities, and a useful history page.

Closer attractions in the area include Blackness Castle, where Hamlet was filmed, Canal Cruise, The House of Binns, Birkhill Clay Mine, Scottish Railway Preservation Society, Bo'ness Motor Museum, Kinneil Museum and Roman Fortlet, Kinneil House, Hopetoun House, South Queensferry & The Forth Bridges, Cruise on The Maid of The Forth, Almond Valley Heritage Centre, The Falkirk Wheel, Beecraigs Country Park. The canal has a cycle path which is picturesque and fun for all ages.

There are beautiful beaches, most notably at Aberdour, Elie and Gullane and Seacliff. If you're prepared to put in the miles then Linlithgow is an ideally central base for exploring Scotland.

Cycling, walking, fishing and golfing are all on the doorstep!

Edinburgh

Linlithgow is ideally located for visiting Edinburgh, Scotland's famous capital city. During the Edinburgh Festival the city takes on a new dimension with street performers, comedy, music, and theatre, and a wealth of side attractions. Open top bus tours are a great way to get a feel for the city and of course there is the famous Edinburgh Castle.

Glasgow

Glasgow is well known for its vibrant inhabitants and great shopping. Only 40 minutes from Linlithgow, it has much to offer visitors. Visit Glasgow
